Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University
Saudi Arabia

- NETx BMS Server, NETxVoyager - KNX
- Trades: Lighting, HVAC, Shading
This project received the KNX Award 2012 in the category "International Award Asia." The 800 ha campus was designed as a self-contained district with building automation managing lighting, air conditioning, and shading. Reliable shading technology addresses challenges like 45°C heat and high solar radiation, reducing cooling costs and environmental impact. Daylight- and presence-based controls ensure efficient lighting in classrooms, laboratories, and offices, with scene buttons enabling functions like shading for presentations. Centralized visualization and BACnet gateway integration support efficient operation and occupancy-based adjustments.
